When I become passive, I become useless. In this comic, the father of the family is likened to a rag doll. The family dog tears him and rips him apart, the child mauls him and throws him on the floor and, finally, the mother tosses him in the toy chest. Only after he makes a choice and leaves the chest to comfort the mother, does he become a full grown man again, capable of effecting his environment
